How long have you been an author?
Going on 5 years now, I published my first book in 2017.
How many books do you have?
I have created 7 childrens’ books, 7 guide books, and a whole lot of journals and notebooks.
What inspired you to be an author?
I was home from college on winter break, and my Mom saw me reading a book like I usually do, and she suggested that since I read so much I should write a book. When she said that, she meant when I got older of course. But, I said to myself, “Why not now?”.
How long does it take you to write a book?
It usually takes me just a few focused hours to write a children’s book and to check it over. To write a book with more content, it may take me a week or two.
How long does the process take to create the pages?
That takes just a few hours as well.
What is your favorite part of the process?
I love when an idea comes to me and I begin to brainstorm on how I want the book to look. It’s fun to get in the zone, create the project, and then actually hold the finished product in your hand.
What has been your biggest challenge being an author
Initially it was getting the money together to create a book and publish it. The evolution of the internet and my experience have now made it possible for me to create and publish books with little to no money.
How do you decide what a character should look like?
When I choose a specific animal for the main character of my children’s books, it’s because that animal’s behavior and characteristics symbolizes the type of person the story is truly about.
What has been your greatest Success as an author?
Any time other people tell me I inspired them to write a book as well

What should other inspiring authors know?DO NOT PAY “SELF-PUBLISHING” COMPANIES TO CREATE AND PUBLISH YOUR BOOK! You can do everything yourself for way cheaper than the thousands of dollars they will charge you for a few dollars worth of work. When you do it yourself, you are the true owner of your work. You can build your own mini book empire by using Amazon KDP for little to no money. Don’t worry about the people you know not supporting you, the internet has billions of users. If you create good content and market well, you will do fine. Be your own Boss!
